SUMMARY:Death Week - The Ultimate Drag and Drive
DESCRIPTION:Firebird Motorsports Park will play host to some of the wildest street cars in the nation as part of Sick The Magazine’s Death Week\, taking place at the Phoenix venue on Saturday\, October 21 from 9am to 1pm and on Sunday\, October 29 from 10am to 2pm. \nThe trip to Phoenix will be just part of what is a 2000-mile drag-and-drive haul from Arizona to California to Nevada\, then back to Arizona. \nEvery vehicle competing at Death Week is street legal\, yet they are capable of incredible performances.\nSix-times Hot Rod Drag Week winner Tom Bailey will be among the competitors\, bringing his Gen 3 Hemi-powered Dodge Durango which is chasing four-second times over the eighth-mile. \nRacers will be coming from far and wide to compete\, including three racers from Canada. One of those is drag-and-drive legend Rich Guido\, bringing his famed stick shift Pontiac GTO. He will be joined by fellow stick shift racer Chris Hein\, whose hot rod recently won Rocky Mountain Race Week. \nAmong the quickest of the American drivers taking part will be Alan Whitaker in his brand new SMX-powered Chevrolet Monte Carlo\, who like Bailey will be aiming for four-second slips. \nSpectators are invited into the pits to check out all the cars up close – with no transporters to keep them hidden. There will also be Sick merch on sale and all the usual great hospitality of Firebird Motorsports Park. \n“Death Week is a one-off event\, so it is only going to happen once\,” Bailey said. “If you have any interest in checking out a drag-and-drive event\, make sure you are at Firebird Motorsports Park on either October 21 or October 29!” \nTickets available at: https://tickets.thefoat.com/sickthemag/event-242689/ \nFor more event information including tickets\, check out\nhttps://www.sickthemagazine.com/death-week \n

An independent VW parts and service establishment we have over 30 years in the Sacramento area. \nIn 1998-1999 we promoted the PRA World finals at SpeedWorld Motorplex in Surprise\, Arizona. In 1999 we purchased the VW Classic that is held in sunny Irvine California. The VW Classic is on the second Sunday in June. The VW Classic has been in Orange County at the amphitheater facility for over 25 years. \nVisit the BugORama website for more info about this VW event!\nhttps://www.bugorama.com/
